I’m Kristie, a counsellor passionate about moms’ mental health and relationship support. If you are looking for support with navigating the complexities of being a mom, you’re in the right place.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
My practice focuses on supporting moms through the emotional and psychological changes of pregnancy and the postpartum period, and beyond. I provide a safe, empathetic space for women dealing with anxiety, depression, or the multitude of feelings that can arise during this transformative time.
I also offer specialized support for mothers whose children face mental health challenges or neurodiversity. I understand the unique stressors and emotional burdens that come with parenting a child with conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, or other neurodevelopmental differences. My goal is to empower you with strategies to manage stress, enhance family dynamics, and advocate for your child’s needs while maintaining your own well-being.
Relationships often undergo significant changes after having children, and these changes can be particularly pronounced when navigating the added complexities of mental health or neurodiversity. I work with couples to strengthen their connection and communication, ensuring that both partners feel supported and unified in their parenting journey.
Through a blend of personalized therapy and evidence-based practices, I aim to support your mental health, foster resilient relationships, and create a nurturing environment for both you and your child. Together, we’ll work towards achieving balance and fulfillment in your life and family.
If you’re seeking a compassionate guide to support you through perinatal challenges, parenting a neurodiverse child, or relationship adjustments, I’m here to help. Let’s take this journey together, finding strength and support in every step.

“What we don’t need in the midst of struggle is shame for being human”-Brene Brown
Whether it’s your first time seeking support from a counsellor/psychotherapist or not, it takes strength to reach out. I am happy to be here to help you on your healing journey.
I became a counsellor/psychotherapist with the main goal of helping others. I studied a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my interest in how the human brain works and the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours grew into a desire to pursue a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology.
I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO).
I have 5 years post-degree experience working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, disordered eating, gender/sexuality, grief/loss, sexual violence and workplace/academic stress. I particularly love working with women and women-identifying individuals, as I believe in women supporting and uplifting other women, both in my personal and professional lives.
As a therapist, I firmly believe my clients need and are deserving of unconditional positive regard. I believe that everyone is capable of creating change in their lives with the proper tools and guidance. I follow a person-centered, trauma-informed approach with elements of cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT, ACT and DBT). I also have a particular interest in using creative modalities in my work. I work with clients to identify their needs and goals and create a care plan as unique as them, and strive to make my clients feel empowered, listened to and cared for.
I can work with clients living in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador & Nunavut.
I am covered by many insurance companies, and am able to direct bill blue cross in most provinces.

Hi, I’m Angela!
I’m A Licensed Counselling Therapist - Candidate and owner of Luna Counselling and Wellness. Through my most recent postpartum experience, and my motherhood journey in general, I found myself with a passion for empowering and helping moms through the various stages of their lives and healing journeys.
I consider myself a fairly integrative therapist, going with the flow of what my client needs in any given session. I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR Therapy!
I pride myself on being authentic and relatable with my clients. I’ve yet to meet a client I didn’t have something in common with, and I will take every opportunity to bond over our mutual interests and life experience. I won’t hesitate to share some of myself with you when I think it will benefit you to know that I relate and understand. The relationship built between you and your therapist is responsible for about 80% of your success in therapy - the rest doesn’t matter if I don’t show up authentically.
Angela graduated from Yorkville University in 2018 with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She completed this degree online, as well as her on site practicum, all while maintaining her full time career in Domestic Violence Outreach and being a single mother to a toddler.
Since then, Angela became a mother of three when she had twins in 2021, and through this experience she found a new appreciation for Perinatal Mental Health. She is currently working on becoming perinatal mental health certified, and adores working with mothers (and mothers to be) in a counselling capacity.
Angela can direct bill Blue Cross and Green Shield for her services, and many other providers and plans will cover LCT - C designation through reimbursement.
She is licensed to practice in New Brunswick, and can work in other unregulated provinces, such as AB, MB, SK, and NL.

Therapy feels weird. At its core, it involves divulging the things we usually reserve for the safety of our journals (or our very attentive pets) to a total stranger. As someone who has been on both sides, I can promise that I understand how hard it is to take that first leap and book an appointment with someone. There are always internal questions about whether or not this person will bet he right fit or if you’ll be starting over with someone new in a few weeks and having to retell your story. As a therapist, I pride myself in being open and authentic with the folks I work with.
I never pretend to know all of the answers, but will always gladly walk alongside you as we figure them out. Therapy is a collaborative process, and only part of our journey. I would describe my style as being person-centered, I follow your lead and help you reframe and integrate your experiences in a way that best suites your personality and needs.
My primary goal is to provide a space where you feel safe. Safe to unmask, safe to share what is on your mind, and safe to process trauma you have experienced in the past. I am quirky, neuro-divergent, kink-allied, and 2SLGBTIA+ safe. It is always an honour to be trusted with someone’s stories and experiences, and I would love to get to know yours.
